Are We Counted Worthy to Walk with Jesus in White?

Israel is the centerpiece of God’s prophetic timeline, and as 2 Peter 1:19 says, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts”.

Therefore, God does not want His people to be in the dark, but to properly discern and understand the signs of times, to be attentive to the events surrounding the time of Christ’s visitation. Therefore, we ought to be attentive to the events of Israel and pray always for the peace of Jerusalem.

In Luke 21:25-36, Jesus tells us...

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

29And he spake to them a parable; BEHOLD THE FIG TREE, AND ALL THE TREES,30 When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that SUMMER IS NOW AT HAND. 31 So likewise you, when ye see these things come to pass, know you that THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NIGH AT HAND.

32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 WATCH THEREFORE, and PRAY ALWAYS, that you may be ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

In light of coming of Jesus, there are some believers, more like wise virgins, who are concerned about their salvation and don’t want to miss the gathering away or "rapture" of God’s elect.

Some of these wise virgins are God's watchmen. Some are those who listen to God's watchman and prophets, but concerned they may not make it when Jesus comes. They would need to have God’s perspective on this matter with clarity and certainty. They would need not the counsel of men, their theology, nor their worldly perspective, but God’s heavenly and eternal perspective.

Yet, others in the body of Christ, more like foolish virgins, are fast asleep, apathetic and indifferent to watching and being ready for Jesus, nor preparing themselves for the Lord, nor doing His will.

But why?

Ephesians 4:11-13 says, Christ gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

Therefore...have the ministers of Christ been properly preparing God’s people to live in this world as Christ? As a mature, spotless bride of Christ, and wise virgins waiting for their bridegroom to take them to a place He has prepared for them?

...Or are ministers and God's people seeking to be “blessed” in this life, as many are teaching and preaching across all the pulpits, especially in America. Jesus said the lust of the flesh, cares of this life, the pleasures of this life enter in and choke out the word and the people become unfruitful and bring no fruit to perfection (Mark 4:19; Luke 8:14).

Such is the case of the church of Sardis, which we read in Revelation 3:1-6. They were a church not watchful, but rather concerned about making a name for themselves in this temporal world.

1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 BE WATCHFUL, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I HAVE NOT FOUND YOUR WORKS PERFECT BEFORE GOD. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

4 Thou hast a FEW NAMES even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and THEY SHALL WALK WITH ME IN WHITE: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

1Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds; 4So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: 5Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be COUNTED WORTHY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD, for which you also suffer:

6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

11Wherefore also WE PRAY ALWAYS FOR YOU, that OUR GOD WOULD COUNT YOU WORTHY OF THIS CALLING, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Through this critical and timely message, may God’s trumpet sound the alarm for all God’s people and awake them to the coming of the Lord and events soon to take place.
