Are We Seeking for an Open Heaven? Part 1

9/24/2017

Jesus has always promised never to leave or forsake us. Yet, Jesus said to pray that "God's kingdom come and God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven".

Even though, God desires to bring an "open heaven" wherever His people are assembled together in His name, the reality is that we as God's ministers and houses can quench the Spirit and shut up the kingdom of God or "heaven" from FULLY MANIFESTING AMONG US. This can happen on any given day the body of Christ meets, or worse yet- all the time.

However, when we hear and understand the ways and things of God's Spirit, and then obey, we remove the barriers to an open heaven where God's authority, power, presence, healing, deliverance, and complete ministry of His Spirit flows like rivers of living water - continually. We must be trained in the THINGS OF THE SPIRIT. Asking God to manifest an open heaven (not the kind many preach about "blessings", but about God's presence and power isn't hard or mysterious).

Rather, it requires child-like humility, faith and obedience. It's takes the abominations of pride, self-will, the esteem of men (or what men esteem) to stop it. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. He will run from pride as fast as He can and run into child-like humility as fast as He can.

When Jesus began His ministry He said, "the time is fulfilled for the kingdom of heaven is at hand; repent and believe the gospel" He meant it.

God will manifest among those who KEEP HIS COMMANDS, are OBEDIENT TO HIS FAITH, and DO THE THINGS OF THE KINGDOM for which they have now begun to learn (if not already heard).

It's also important to know that no amount of human effort can open the kingdom of heaven in our midst. It's prayer, obedience and the kingdom of God preached and received by faith, ministered by those whom Christ has sent into the midst of the people of God.

Matthew 5:20 - "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."

And quite often, it's those ministers and especially His prophets who have the most difficult things to preach are granted the greatest release of God's kingdom in the earth. It's God's way of rewarding His ministers who do the hard work of plowing in the Spirit with the refreshing presence of His Holy Spirit!
