On Sept. 14, 2016, the Wood County Opiate Task Force and their partners hosted a discussion on the issue of heroin and opiates in our community.

Speakers included Andrea Boxill, Deputy Director of the Governor's Cabinet Opiate Action Team. She discussed how the opioid epidemic has impacted families, communities, and the state and what the state government is doing in response to this deadly disease of addiction. Matt Bell, a co-founder of Team Recovery shared his story of addiction and recovery.

The event was emceed by Clint Corpe, host of The Morning Show, WBGU.
