Our Walk is a Reflection of Our Dependency

After all Jacob did to buy favor with his brother, it appears that Esau has had a change of heart without needing all these gifts. Personally, I believe that God changed Esau’s heart. After 20 years, both Jacob and Esau have matured. There is no mention here that Esau had an encounter with the Lord, but obviously he is no longer bitter toward Jacob. I believe that Jacob has to know that God specifically answered his prayer. We see the hand of God going before God’s chosen people throughout history. David understood God’s hand of protection.
